cool
julia! awesome job on the blog, i think it's "ms terry" though
Although recruiting people under the age of 16 for military service is a gross violation of human rights, from a purely military point of view, with millions of children, it can boost a military's strength and turn the tide of war.
hi I only suport people that are friends with australia.
Hey Patrick, just a point, is it still a "gross violation of human rights," if the recruit is willful? If the recruit is willfully joining the armed forces, the army is not violating their rights in any way. It is true that the young recruit may be clouded by propaganda or revenge, but their rights have not been touched at all.
... You know this is all for the sake of debate.
Hi everybody!
I agree with you justin it's not a gross violation of human rights if they willingfully say yes.
i agree with patrick it is a "gross "violation of humans. especially when the cowards are to arfaid to do it themselves and decide to put childrens lives at stake instead of their own.
but the whole idea of sending kids into war is horribly bad. I think if a child does go into war they should be over 18 years of age.
how is UN helping child soldiers???
How is UN helping child soldiers?
Justin Lau, when I say recruitment, I mean forced entry. Not trying to offend you, just clarifying.
let's not get off topic okay?
Secretary Awesome Officer, how is this off-topic? Some of us are trying to have a debate on child soldiers, which is what this topic is about. A debate filled with long words, shouting, and pie.
Patrick, if it's forced recruitment, then I agree with you on that part.
...
Moo.
